Call for Volunteers

Wolves FC is a community club run by volunteers for the benefit of the local football community. The success of a community football club is usually only as good as the people who volunteer to make it work. Wolves FC has a great and growing group of dedicated volunteers and we welcome all help offered by our members, families and friends. In addition, many of our members run local businesses who provide services to the club for reduced cost and often for free. The club of course gratefully accepts these offers and in return would like to ensure our members support these businesses.

There is a great vision to get this club back to the top of Brisbane football and even Queensland Football and beyond. Most importantly the club will be striving to provide our players and families with the best football development and experience possible. We do however need everyone’s help to get it there. As such whatever small amount of time you can provide or service offered will be received with open arms. Like-minded people working together to make a difference is a great experience to be a part of.

The club needs help with all manner of jobs such as goal net repairs, field maintenance, grounds official (assist referees, ensure teams know which fields they are on, change rooms to use etc), sports club raffle seller, 6-a-side competition assistance, social event organisation and assistance, etc.

Currently seeking volunteers for the following activities:

Bunning’s BBQ fund raiser

The club has been lucky enough to book the Manly West Bunnings Fund Raising BBQ for Saturday 22nd April. This is a great opportunity for the club to generate some cash and get our name out into the community. To be successful we need a lot of volunteers to help run the BBQ and stall. As such any and all help will be appreciated. We would love to have one or two people (or many more!) from each team do 30-60 minutes each. Its a great opportunity to get know others in the club and get to know what is happening. Who doesn’t love a barby!

Bunnings asks that the BBQ runs from 8am to 4pm Saturday as a minimum. We will need to be there from 7am to 5pm  for organisation and clean up.

We need 3-4 people at the stand at any one time.

Anyone who is able to donate any of the following will also be great:

  1. ­18kg-25kg of sausages (from reputable food safety accredited supplier)
  2. ­18-25 loaves bread
  3. ­10kg onions
  4. ­7 litres condiments
  5. ­210+ Drinks – (Assuming each case is a 30 pack we will need: 2 cases Coca-Cola, 1 case Coke Zero / Diet Coke, 1 case Fanta or similar, 1 case Lemonade / Solo or similar, 2 cases water)

Thursday night meat raffle

The Moreton Bay Sports Club provides an opportunity for Wolves FC to run a meat raffle on a Thursday night. The raffle provides a good fund raising opportunity for the club. We currently have a need for someone cheerful and friendly to run the raffle on behalf of the club.
